I am passionate about supporting my clients in their desire to experience a life of contentment and fulfillment, and am endlessly curious about their existing strengths which may foster such life satisfaction.
I prefer a collaborative approach to therapy using a range of evidenced-based approaches which are tailored to support my clients in meeting their personal therapy goals. The approaches I use include: Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness-based Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, Metacognitive Therapy for Anxiety and Depression, and Integrative Behavioural Couple Therapy.
I work part-time at Wisdom Health and part-time in a government setting. I enjoy working with adults, adolescents, children and couples, who may be experiencing a wide range of psychological difficulties related to various forms of anxiety (generalised anxiety, social anxiety, posttraumatic stress, obsessive-compulsive disorder, phobias, panic), mood disorders (depression and bipolar disorder), stress, grief and loss, low self-esteem, interpersonal relationship difficulties, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, emotion dysregulation, alcohol and other drug use, adjustment issues, personality disorders, body image problems, interpersonal trauma, adjustment issues, and chronic pain.
I have also conducted research which explored the efficacy of a broad mental health approach for improving body image in school-aged children.
I am registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and the Psychology Board of Australia, and I am a member of the Australian Clinical Psychology Association and the Australian Association for Cognitive Behaviour Therapy.
